I picked up Z yesterday for some weekend riding. I did around 200 km on country roads and the city.
I enjoyed this time, and the bike was running nice. There are some things that I like a lot about the bike, like the silky-smooth engine, that can run on 2k RPM on 3rd gear and ride nice and slow on the city, nice linear power delivery, and a lot of power. But unfortunately, there are more things I did not like about it. The breaks are way too weak for such powerful bike, a similar story is with suspension which is very soft, it’s nice on bumpy roads but during hard acceleration and braking, I did not like how much it compressed and decompressed. The stock tires, when I was coming home today it was 13 C outside, and they did not felt gipy at all. Also, the bike by itself is tall, and the centre of its mass is also placed high, adding this to my 190 cm high, my head was above SUV’s that I was passing on the roads. With a bit of a wind and speeds of around 100 km/h I did not felt secure. And the last thing, that for many of you is a plus for me it was just point of realisation, that I do not want a bike that sounds like sports bikes (4 cylinders etc) when I was riding Triumphs or Ducati, I liked the sound a lot more, and I even noticed that car divers in the city made a place for me in the traffic, wherewith Z and his „sportbike” sound they acted differently, it was a bit of a surprise but even my neighbours said that the bikes I had previously sounded better, where this one just look nice. Anyway I do not want to offend any of you, I know that a lot of you like this bike and trust me, I had super high hopes for the Z.
